He is the author of “ You have not yet been defeated ,” and is considered the most high-profile prisoner of conscience in Egypt, having spent more than two-thirds of the last decade in prison for his expression. He won the 2022 Electronic Frontier Foundation Award for Democratic Reform Advocacy and PEN Canada’s One Humanity Award in 2023. Loven træder i kraft den 1. juli 2025 og gælder for ansatte i hele den offentlige forvaltning samt selvejende institutioner, foreninger, fonde m.v. Med loven fastslås, at offentligt ansatte har ret til at ytre sig som privatpersoner uden at risikere negative ansættelsesretlige konsekvenser - så længe ytringerne ikke indeholder fortrolige oplysninger, der er strafbare at videregive, er freds- eller ærekrænkende,  er fremsat i urimelig grov form eller indeholder åbenbart urigtige oplysninger om væsentlige forhold inden for eget arbejdsområde,  eller i særlige tilfælde skader arbejdspladsens interne beslutningsproces og funktionsevne.   DOF, Dansk PEN Sprognetværk og Sällskapet för bosnisk-hercegovinskaförfattare, översättare och bibliotekarier (SHBFOB) inviterer til fyraftensarrangement med digter og oversætter Milena Rudež, digter Tomislav Čale, forfatter Denis Dželić og oversætterne Jane Kabel og Pawel Partyka. De vil fortælle om at oversætte, skrive og formidle slavisk poesi. Guitaristen Amir Hadžiahmetović fortæller om sit samarbejde med herboende polske digter Grzegorz Wróblewski og afspiller oplæsning af Grzegorz akkompagneret med guitarmusik. FIT and PEN Just as the Danish Association of Certified Translators Translators' Association, DACTI,  is a member of the International Federation of Translators and Interpreters - FIT, Danish PEN is a member of PEN International. I am active in both, at national level and at international level The two international organizations have overlapping focus, still different profiles. The shared focus is language and the right to express oneself: language, authorship, translation, interpretation, indigenous languages, minoritized languages, the status of languages, freedom of expression. My ultimate goal is to pave the way for a cooperation agreement between FIT and PEN International.  I am the  Vice Chair of FIT's "External Relations Standing Committee" and a  FIT's board member.
